240g chickpeas (i.e. 400g tin drained)
1 Clove Garlic Crushed
Juice of Half a Lemon
1-2 tsp Cumin
1-2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
4-5 tbsp Cold Water
Season to taste
Put all the ingredients in a blender and, well, blend!
Enjoy with some carrot or cucumber sticks, a ryvita or two or some pitta bread.
– If you prefer not to use tinned then 120g dried chickpeas makes about the right amount once soaked and cooked.
– You can leave the salt out if you prefer but it really helps to bring out the flavours.
– You don’t need to eat too much for a tasty and fulfilling snack!
